A service is to be held at Blackburn Cathedral in memory of the popular sports broadcaster, Keith Macklin.
Mr Macklin died in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Saturday morning after a long illness. He was 78.
He presented BBC Look North West, which later became North West Tonight, during a career on radio and television spanning more than 50 years.
Keith commentated on football and rugby league for BBC television and ITV in the 1960s and 1970s.
He was also one of the founding members of Red Rose radio in Preston, which later became Rock FM.

The memorial service for Mr Macklin, who lived in Blackburn, will be held at the cathedral on Friday.
