Director General Portraits

Hello there
Im researching stories and anecotes concerning the portraits of the BBC director generals. I would VERY much appreciate anyone wishing to get in touch with memories etc and in particular helping us to identify one painting in the BBC collection which we have no paperwork for. The picture is below.
Many thanks
Christine

In reply to Christine, the subject of the mysterious portrait might possibly be William Gladstone Murray. He was not a DG but he was one of Reith's right hand men from about 1924 to 1936. After leaving the BBC he bacame general manager of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
