Monday saw Mike's funeral. The family posted on Facebook:

On 23rd May 2022, our superhero hung up his cape to pass over into Paradise. Never have words failed more to describe the enormity of the passing of our dear father, and to you all, Big Mike.

The outpouring of love that we have received has been utterly overwhelming; all of which points to a life well lived, and a (very large) footprint across the hearts of many. What an honour to have encountered such a giant of a man.
