Sad news from Betty Rodondo today, via Twitter:

"I have some very sad news for all my #BBCLocalradio colleagues. I am sorry to say the my wonderful former colleague at GNS - and the Royal Correspondent for local Radio Sandra Westbrooke has died . Fantastic voice; expert knowledge & the loveliest person RIP Sandra."

The Twitter response from local radio names, past and present, show just how respected Sandra was, and a total professional who was greatly loved and admired.
