Title: TV Continuity Announcers
Post by V Meldrew on Jan 6th, 2022, 12:54pm

It is a long time since TV continuity announcements came from Pres A or Pres B at TVC.

Now the voices seem to be shared by the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Do they come from Red Bee?

Anyway, I know we should all be inclusive, accept diversity and regional accents, but there is one voice at the moment that just grates on me.

His name is Dan, I think. I hear him say things like tonight at "six firty" and "deaf in paradise". I don't know if it is just a regional accent or a speech impediment.

Am I just being non PC , or do the viewers deserve better?
