For the many staff who knew him, but may not have picked this up from Facebook or Twitter, Jan Leeming has posted that her ex-husband Patrick Lunt sadly passed away on the morning of 3rd September 2021. He was 73, and died as a result of lung cancer.
From BFBS, to some 30 years broadcasting on BBC Radio 2, he was also the voice announcing the BBC News between '84 and '93.
He leaves a son - Jonathan - and widow, Robin.
