RX TV log summarise the changes to BBC schedules.
Here is their summary.

BBC Media Centre:-
Here "BBC News sets out plans to keep audiences receiving trusted and accurate information",
and
here...."BBC sets out plan to inform, educate and entertain during unprecedented times"

Don't know about anyone else--but I would love to see a proper old classic movie every afternoon on Iplayer or maybe BBC2 ....if the BBC doesn't have the rights--then get those rights and blinking well £pay....there must currently be huge savings in not having to mount OB's/EntsEvents-so the money is there! .....
Am I the only isolating BBC oldie who loves classic sprocket busting award winning cinema?
If the BBC don't do it --then a commercial channel will--just you see!

WG - have you not yet discovered Ch 81 on Freeview?
"Talking Pictures TV" features some glorious "proper old classic movies" - just like you describe - from the 40s and 50s.
Keep you amused for hours and hours!!
