Title: Family of David M V Jones Post by Lisa_M on Feb 26th, 2020, 11:27am Hi Folks I realise this is a VERY long shot but does anyone remember a David M V Jones who was apparently Head of TV Activities at the BBC, possibly in the early 70s (and who died in November 1978)? And if yes, would you or someone you know be in contact with his family/descendants? The Royal Aeronautical Society library holds a series of recordings that Mr Jones carried out in 1975-76 (not BBC recordings) where he interviewed early Qantas / Imperial Airways pilots. The Library is developing a sound archive and has been advised to seek formal permission to use the recordings from his descendants. My Dad is a member of the society and reached out to me (although I'm actually a current member of BBC staff). BBC HR were tied by potential GDPR restrictions, but Prospero magazine have kindly agreed to post a notice and they also suggested this forum. If you do remember him or know anyone in his family, please contact Brian Riddle - Chief Librarian - National Aerospace Library in Farnborough, Hampshire (brian.riddle@aerosociety.com) / Tel: 01252 701060 Many thanks Lisa |
