The name is Lustig , by the way. No wonder current staff have difficulty getting things right when this forum seems incapable.
As an adjunct to this very minor story which Newswatch seems to have taken delight in highlighting, I was a staff member from 1969 to 1993, and including huge personal goofs on external services and BBC TV, when the correct response to incidents similar to this would have been to hold one's hand up as guilty, apologise profusely & hope that the wrath of "God" would not descend. It often did, but the support offered was always significant, after all, there were not the minutiae observing listener/viewers seeking a moment of fame sitting by their phones ready to pounce on detail.
Is a personal roasting not enough?
