Sad to read on Facebook that Ian Pennifold - of ETD fame - has passed away, on Friday 4th October.

Rather than try to add anything, here's what Mike Andrew and Jane Pennifold have written.

"Jane Pennifold and I are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our father Ian Pennifold on Friday 4th October. Sorry for those we have not been able to get in touch with personally to let you know. We will update on here when we have sorted funeral arrangements.
If anyone saw Dad late last week please get in touch with Jane or I, we are trying to piece together his final few days.

Very sorry to hear the news, I knew Ian many years ago not only at the BBC but though connections with Hospital Radio and the odd pint or two at The Leather Bottle in Earlsfield (London).

Very sad news. I also knew Ian through both hospital radio and BBC, but regrettably lost touch over the years.

Ian Pennifold's funeral service will be at The Vale Crematorium, on Thursday October 31st at 1.30pm.
Dress code: Casual (socks and sandals optional); Dad hated suits so please wear something comfy.
No flowers by request, donations for Riverside Surgery, Evesham, may be sent to E Hill & Son Funeral Directors, Pershore. WR10 1HZ.
