We have received this information from a family friend of Helen:-

Helen Morton, who produced Young Musician of the Year between 1982 and 1986, died in the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield on 22nd March, after contracting pneumonia following a fall in which she broke her collarbone and pelvis. Helen had lived with the degenerative effects of rheumatoid arthritis for a number of years, after leaving London to return to live nearer her extended family.

A service of Thanksgiving for Helen’s Life will be held on Friday 20th April at Christ Church, Fulwood, Canterbury Ave, Sheffield S10 3RT, followed by refreshments in the church centre.
