Post by Administrator on Mar 13th, 2018, 6:33pm

A BBC CCO will exist soon.

According to this BBC Media Centre Statement, Kerris Bright has been appointed to the post of BBC Chief Customer Officer,

the announcement says...

"The role will take responsibility for developing a closer, more personal relationship with BBC consumers, licence fee payers and those signing in to BBC services.

The BBC’s existing Marketing and Audiences team and Licence Fee Unit will report into this new role and form a new customer relationship management function.....

.....Prior to working at Virgin Media, Kerris held senior marketing positions at British Airways, ICI Paints and Unilever.

The role will report into Anne Bulford and Kerris will sit on the BBC Executive Committee. Kerris will take up her role in the Summer."

What a load of Gobble de Gook. Another highly remunerated sinecure? Why can't the BBC start recruiting "Programme Makers" and staff to make the programmes it needs? Please, please look back at the  "Auntie Beeb" role of an initiator to "Educate, Inform & Entertain" for the whole population of the UK, not just the mindless "intellects" of the South East.
