Title: BBC gets a "Voice"
Post by Administrator on Oct 16th, 2017, 5:22pm

James Purnell (Director, Radio and Education) writes here in "Medium" that

"We’re experimenting with content for Voice.
....
a leading digital thinker said to us that he thought Voice would transform broadcasting. He pointed out that a fifth of searches on mobile are already being spoken. But he said that what was missing now was great content from people like the BBC.

We’re on the case.

We’re starting with small experiments, like the one from our R&D team — Inspection Chamber — which we’ll be launching shortly — but think the potential here could be significant.."

Brilliant. Super. ;D And, don't tell me, there's a goofy guy in BH reception going up to famous faces and looking like a prat?  Sounds like a format we could use ........

If ever there was a waste of BBC cash this would appear to be it! For a smaller amount of money why doesn't the BBC employ an Audio level monitoring team on each network? Even make it an automaton but do this rather than squandering licence payers hard earned money!

The job titles are already in place !   I only watch W1A with reluctance as I find it brings back painful memories of Birtspeak being introduced but I though this week's show excelled.... is"Tony" still in the Tardis, anyone?    I did wonder what his appearance fee was......
