Friends at BBC Leeds have let us know that Roger Keech died suddenly last week. Roger was a brilliant director, producer at BBC Yorkshire for many years before going freelance. He ran a very successful company helping train new broadcast journalists through Leeds University and had his own production company. He produced and directed films recently with Len Goodman on the Dance band years (a passion of Rogers) and recently made a brilliant programme on the return of the Flying Scotsman to the East Coast line. A great talent and though famously inscrutable at times, a heart of gold. This from the Yorkshire post.
