Title: Audio Experiment
Post by Administrator on May 30th, 2017, 11:34am

BBC R&D are canvassing for volunteers to take part in a Listening Experiment.
"Investigating the quality of experience of next generation audio".

For more information, please go to this site where registration can start.

"This experiment is part of a PhD project investigating the quality of experience of next generation audio. In this particular study we are interested in finding out how demographics, knowledge and attitudes influence how you experience music. .......

On completion of the third session you will be entered into a prize draw for one of five £20 Amazon gift vouchers."

Surprising waste of time, money and effort since present day experience of audio via BBC is still a shambles!

Perhaps the clue is "Next Generation", in that much listening is now done via smartphones / iPods etc, all using earphones / buds etc  ......

I do wish, however, that conventional TV programmes were pleasant to view and hear.

Programmes are now so over-produced, to the point that many are now unpleasant.

Pictures and sound are too 'in-your-face'. I don't need to have a dramatic event 'brought to my attention'.
