Title: Dr Blackadder Post by Administrator on Mar 30th, 2015, 5:54pm Dr Eric Blackadder, who was the BBC's Chief Medical Officer in the 1970s and into the 1980s, has died.  He was 87.  Bill Rogers's excellent blog says that his name was taken by Rowan Atkinson and co for their Blackadder comedy series.  The good doctor didn't like it, apparently.
