Title: Nikolaus Pevsner
Post by Stephen Games on Jul 5th, 2014, 10:27pm

Does anyone have any memories of working as studio manager, typist or in any other capacity on NIKOLAUS PEVSNER's radio talks from 1945 to 1977?
The producers were Noni Wright for Overseas; Robert Waller and Geoffrey Earle for Forces and Light Programme Talks; but mostly Basil Taylor, Anna Kallin, Roger Cary, Leonie Cohn and Prudence Smith in Home Sounds Talks for the Third Programme, and Donald Boyd and Dick (R.E.) Keen for the Home Service.
There were also Pevsner's two TV films directed by Naomi Capon; a number of German Service talks produced by Julius Gellner, M. Gauss, Heinz Wiedemann, Walter Hertner, and Gerd Puritz; and a handful of talks for the French and Asian services, the scripts of which are now lost.
I interviewed Leonie and Roger, now both dead, over 10 years ago but would welcome first-hand information that may fill in gaps for my forthcoming study "Pevsner: The BBC Years", which is the companion edition to my "Pevsner: The Complete Broadcast Talks" which Ashgate has just brought out.
    Many thanks.
