I'm going through various bits of BBC paperwork and there's lots of references when doing costings to D.D.B.A.

Does anyone know what this actually stood for?  :)

Design Department Budget Allocation?

If the paperwork also mentions F32, F37 and F40, then it's probably the above. In BBC Speak, F32s were Designer Days, F37s were Designer Extra Hours and F40 were Design Assistant Hours.

DDBAs will also show G codes, which cover expenditure made on the Producer's behalf by Design Department/Scenic Services staff.

Hope this helps.
