Greetings colleagues. Does anyone know and remember the great Sheila Hind who kept us all right by doing the staff scheduling for the rota. Another popular character was Hanelori who operated the BBC Radio Newsroom Bulletins Telex in BH from where Rip N Read GNS summaries were sent to all UK and worldwide BBC newsrooms and stations.

I worked with Hannelori for many years on GNS. I was the permanent night duty News Telegraphist.
She often relieved me in the morning as did Paddy Christie, who's sadly now passed on.
Sheila Hind, I knew very well. I last spoke to her on the telephone when she moved to the TVC newsroom.What about the typists night duty shift leader, Jill Gresty? she went on to work at Bush House and is now still working part time at BH.
We keep in touch at Christmas time.
