For those interested in "Surround Sound" there is an interesting feature here.

A 1958 recording of "The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols" has been 'adjusted' and is now used to demonstrate different techniques.

This recording was unique in that details of the technique to record the programme were included on the back of the NAB Tape box.

As this is a R&D project, they are keen to hear from those who have taken part in the experiment.
Decent headphones might be handy!
