John Ansell, who spent some years in the Bush House newsroom, and before that at ITN, has died at the age of 80.

John had been suffering from bone cancer and died in the early hours of this morning at the Hospice in the Weald in Tunbridge Wells. He had been admitted to the hospice about a week ago.

His partner of 27 years, Marie-Christine Livermore, can be contacted at their Kent address:

John's funeral will be on

FRIDAY, APRIL 8 AT 10:30 AT TUNBRIDGE WELLS CREMATORIUM WITH A CHURCH SERVICE AFTERWARDS IN HAWKHURST.
