Title: Play School Memories and Contacts Post by prjarchives on Oct 10th, 2009, 11:10am I worked in the Duty Office from 1988-93 and grew up watching the iconic children's programme Play School. For the past year I have researched and interviewed 76 former presenters and many production team members and currently putting the finishing touches to a book that I am due to deliver to the publishers on the 24th October. It is due for publication by Kaleidoscope early 2010. I would love to hear from any ex-staff who worked on the show for any memories and I am also keen to make contact with any of these if anyone can help: Presenters: Elvi Hale (1965), Jonathan Dennis (1969-70), Susan Denny (1971 & later radio producer), Michael Scholes (1974-75), Susan Mosco (1975-76), Sam Wyse (1976), Michael Mann (1980), Janet Palmer (1987-88); Directors: Sheila Innes (1964-65), Tim Byford (1970), Richard Greening (1972-73), Leslie Pitt (1979-80), Terry Marsh (1981-83), Sue Peto (1983-85); Floor Manager John B Hobbs (1964); Designers: Geoff Kirkland ( 1964), Nicole Goodwin (1964), Laurence Harvey (1974), Dacre Punt (1983) Regards Paul R Jackson paulr.jackson@btopenworld.com |
Title: Re: Play School Memories and Contacts Post by prjarchives on Oct 24th, 2010, 6:01pm Here's A House - A Celebration of Play School volume 1 (published by Kaleidoscope Publishing) was launched at BAFTA on Saturday 23rd October with over 80 former contributors from presenters to directors, musicians to designers enjoying a grand reunion and toasting such an iconci programme. I hope that former BBC staff members who enjoyed the programme or worked in Children's Programmes will buy a copy. |
