The Isabella Plantation on May 5, 2002

A reminder for those within reach of Richmond Park in West London:  the azaleas in the Isabella Plantation are just coming to their peak.  They should be at their best next weekend.

Sir,

Your exclusive pictures of two ducks in a park with some flowers in the background is clearly some subversive message from MI6.

I have been retired from the Beeb for a number of years but could you please tell me if I am mistaken or are they the famous ducks "Ashton" and "Walters" which we grew to love so much at Broadcasting house?

They gave us endless hours of fun at lunch times in particular. It was always good to see Ashton, calm on the surface, but paddling furiously underneath..... while patient old Walters floated around in a seeming daze.

Are they by any chance related ?

I agree they seem a thirsty pair.  Maybe you're on to something...
