A member of her family has notified us that "Sally" Lloyd has died. She was head of BBC Manchester personnel until 1981. She was 36 days shy of her 105th birthday.

She started as at the Watcher transmitter on Lines in the 1940s before moving to engineering then Manchester and ultimately into Administration at NBH Manchester.

Sadly, she had limited memory towards the end of her life. Her career with the BBC did mean a lot to her, because in those moments of memory she did remember the names of the engineers under her watchful eye in Vision test, Camera test, OB crews and others based out of New Broadcasting House on Oxford road.
