This BBC news page reports that..

"The BBC is planning to launch a digital voice assistant next year,..."

Will it work in Welsh and Scottish Gaelic?

"BBC staff around the UK are being invited to record their voices to help train the programme to recognise different accents.

According to a BBC spokesman, having its own assistant would enable it to “experiment with new programmes, features and experiences without someone else’s permission to build it in a certain way”.

I'm wondering just what platform this Digital Assistant is going to be implemented on Is it going to be a Phone App - on iOS and/or Android?

“Much like we did with BBC iPlayer, we want to make sure everyone can benefit from this new technology, and bring people exciting new content, programmes and services – in a trusted, easy-to-use way.”

As long as its easy to set up--its a good idea but there's a heck of a lot of competition for these sorts of devices.

I wonder if it will be able to recognise an angry voice when asked to decrease the level of background music.

It seems to me that by not spending on projects such as this, most of which are of dubious use to the over 75s, the BBC could avoid trying to make the over 75s pay for the tv license.

1)What on earth can I ask it that I am unable to find at the moment.
2) If I get a wrong answer and continue to get wrong answers, how long before i give up?
