No details but there are messages on Facebook dating from the 16th May concerning the death of David Filkin, former Head of Science Features and, earlier, a producer on Man Alive amongst many other credits.

David was also an active member of the BBC Rugby Club in the late 1960s and early 1970s, finishing his playing days as 1st XV Captain.

Sadly no other news but hopefully others will be able to pick up the thread.

Details for David's funeral are:

2.20pm on the 24th May at Kingston Cemetery and Crematorium, Bonner Hill Road, KT1 3EZ.
It will be a non-religious cremation.
No flowers please but donations to Arthritis Research UK.
