Sad to relate that Phil Longman has died of cancer. Fine obit here from Bill Rogers.

As that excellent obituary points out, Phil had an extraordinary number and range of jobs - and he was pretty much the best at everything he did.
His father was Bob Longman, a very senior BBC engineer who died in 2011.

The funeral will be held next Wednesday 13th December at 14.15, at West Berkshire Crematorium, Bath Rd, Thatcham RG19 4LD. Afterwards, everyone's welcome at our house for food and drink (20 Hillside, Whitchurch on Thames, Reading, RG8 7HL).
