Title: Portland Place: secret diary of a BBC secretary
Post by Sarah_S on Jun 27th, 2016, 4:32pm

You may be interested to know that this book, my diary for the year 1971, has been published by Little, Brown.  It is available from bookshops or online (eg from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Portland-Place-Secret-Diary-Secretary/dp/1472124685 or The Hive http://www.hive.co.uk/Product/Sarah-Shaw/Portland-Place--Secret-Diary-of-a-BBC-Secretary/18735941) in print or as an ebook.
The Telegraph recently published an interview about the book which you can read here : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/work/savile-was-a-creep-just-horrid-the-secret-diary-of-a-70s-bbc-sec/.
An audio version will be out soon and a paperback edition is due in May 2017.
I hope that other former BBC staff will enjoy reading the book, and I'd be delighted to hear from anyone who also remembers the BBC in those days.
