A new report, commissioned by the DCMS by Oliver and Ohlbaum, reviews

"BBC Television, radio and online services:- An assessment of market impact and distinctiveness."

One of the recommendations is that BBC1 needs to be more distinctive. I agree with this.
ti needs to do better than just being a prize cow channel with the potential of scheduling all day national(Royal?) events or evening after evening of football, with the 22.00 main news bulletin kicked firmly into touch for later.
