Mary Beard has posted her view of The BBC in The TLS.

She has just returned from filming a documentary on the Roman Empire, and reports on the view of The BBC from abroad.

"...the BBC is one of the (few?) UK institutions that commands favour and respect overseas. Of course it does, try Italian tv!"
