Title: government continue to batter the beeb

Now it plans to make the BBC pay for over 75s licence fees.

And they turn around their forcing the BBC to pay for World Service, S4C subsidy,  rural broadband and local TV by saying:
""I remember five years ago doing a deal with the BBC... where it took on £500m worth of responsibilities including things like the BBC World Service," he told Andrew Marr.

"I was told at the time by people: 'They're going to shut down BBC Two, they're going to close Radio 4'. They always seem to pick the juiciest fruits on the tree."

When will they stop toadying up to murdoch?

Krishnan Guru-Murty tweeted:-
So which is the most controversial :

a 20% cut to BBC funding, or

diverting the licence fee we pay for BBC services to pay govt's deficit?

What would be the result of a NATIONWIDE survey asking the following question. TICK ONE BOX ONLY

The BBC Licence fee is levied because
1) it allows UK viewers to legally watch TV
2) It pays for all the BBC TV programmes you watch
3) It's a tax to help pay for the BBC
4) It is a charge for BBC Iplayer
