Jean Seaton's book "Pinkoes and Traitors: The BBC and the nation 1974 - 1987" has been reviewed and commented upon in "The Guardian, here.

The item discusses the relationship 'Auntie' had with politicians of all persuasions and how events contrived to (possibly) create "The BBC" we know now.

WDR has his view here including a reference to 'a man in authority' who was posted 'abroad'.
