Title: News Job Cuts
Post by Administrator on Jun 3rd, 2014, 4:47pm

"Forbes" writer Neil Midgley reports (via The Guardian) that there are 600 more job cuts in BBC News division.

Neil's article is here.

He writes:- "The cuts represent just over 6 per cent – about one in 16 – of the entire headcount in News, which currently employs around 8,000 people. The jobs will go over the next two years."

The Guardian report is here.

Has a depressingly familiar ring about it. Good luck to any of my old chums who are still there. Not many now......

BBC strikes-inevitable now in News- are all about embarrassing management rather than inconveniencing Licence payers-have I got this right?
