The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has advertised the following vacancy:-

Vacancy Description
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport is seeking an outstanding individual to lead the BBC Trust and deliver a strong and independent BBC.

The notice may be found here.

Remuneration:
£110,000 per annum. Expenses are currently reimbursed for all members of the Trust in accordance with the provisions set out in the Trust’s Code of Practice.

Time Requirements:
The time commitment for Trust Chairman is 3- 4 days per week (or 12-16 days per month).

So far-this advertisement has appeared two weeks running in the Sunday Times....expensive?

And then come more cuts to Radio ... another 65 jobs to go in an effort to save £6M, and this after 149 jobs have already been lost in Phase One.
