Title: No-one in BH listening to R2 o/p? Post by Mikej on Oct 28th, 2013, 11:01am Apparantly the R2 playout system fell over on Saturday night/Sunday morning with the clock change and no-one in BH noticed for 20minutes. http://www.theguardian.com/media/2013/oct/27/radio-2-glitch-listeners-baffled Is there no-one on duty at night any more? Bring back continuities/TOM BH etc etc please. Mike |
Title: Re: No-one in BH listening to R2 o/p? Post by Amigo on Oct 28th, 2013, 12:20pm This 'event' merely reinforces the point in the other 'hot topic', .... "Where's The Mute Button?". With nearly 24,000 views, it's a subject close to many hearts. Although I can personally remember ringing a transmitter when they were broadcasting Radio Two and Radio Three on the same frequency at the same time...... they were not able to monitor their output all the time.... it was a feed problem...surely there should be someone 'there' even in the 'wee small hours'? In Radio terms this is when sincere listening is done, so the BBC should get it right. If the originating network can't get it right....... |
