Title: Weather forecasts
Post by FoxyFace on Jan 23rd, 2013, 10:53am

There is something odd going on with BBC weather forecasters at the moment. Has anyone noticed how when there is bad weather news it is always emphasized at the end of their first or second sentence with the last few words said at half the speed. EXAMPLE.......bla we have had mild weather today bla bla bla rain showers etc/ bla bla bla ...but that is ALL ...SET...TO ...CHANGE..
And is there by chance a bad flu/sinus  bug doing the rounds in their office too?--they seem to have forgotten how to pronounce the word COLD. I clearly heard the word "code" ( with a long 0) several time the other evening..

I agree there. They also seem over keen to tell us the weather that we have just experienced. I for one do not not wish to be told this, I just have to look out my window and do we really need all these amber, yellow etc. warnings. Just give me the darned forecast.
Dave.

Also interesting that at least two of the forecasters suddenly removed from the screen last year for being not up to standard are back and seem just the same...although I never saw what the problems were alleged to have been.
I also hope that the new technology in the new BH studios will not include pointing key lamps at the background screen when the weather presenter is in the news studio as at present.
