Title: All quiet at the new BBC

The National Union of Journalists is calling on managers to tackle rising noise levels in some of the BBC's open-plan offices.

Good building design then!

Pacific Quay is an open plan design also...no problem with noise levels though..there are hardly any staff left to make a noise! :(

What a frightening place to work in the BBC has become!  This work system, together with the managerial concept of 'being out' when programmes are transmitted explains in part why technical problems on air are not observed by anyone in charge.

I was expecting the date to be 1st April.....

No wonder the BBC is out of touch!  And what happens when the servers go down, or mains is lost as it will be?  No paper to refer to..

We definitely had the better days!  Mind, I don't hear of what engineering that's left doing this.  Bit difficult to monitor output if you can't find a desk....
