Title: BBC as a "Publisher broadcaster"?

Wasn't this foreshadowed some years ago? The BBC sinking to just transmit programmes produced and, more importantly made, by non-BBC people?

You have to see the comments that were attached to the article to get the bigger picture. I didn't know the author was an Indie Producer until I read that....but I might have guessed!   Para 5 especially is preposterous.  Apart from one idiot using the pseudonym  "Rapture"    (and who also uses  a rather strange syntax) all the respondents are heavily critical of the article. And so am I. But he is correct in one point.....George Entwistle needs to make a neew start....maybe he is waiting until someone suggests a catchy new phrase like "Producer Choice" or "Delivering Quaity First"?
