The Guardian reports here that:-

"Caroline Thomson and Tim Davie have been shortlisted to become the BBC's next director general, with first interviews due to take place in a fortnight's time for the most influential job in British television.

Insiders said that all four internal candidates have been put on the list – with the other two contenders being George Entwistle, director of vision, and BBC News director Helen Boaden, although their inclusion has not been separately verified."

I think is probaly an email with a >:( at the end folowed by a ;D
