Content from BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, made up half of the top 10 selling series and episodes on iTunes in the UK this year.

The top-selling series of the year so-far include Top Gear at number three, classic comedy Fawlty Towers at number four, crime drama Luther at number five, comedy Come Fly with Me at number six and I’m Alan Partridge in tenth spot.

The first episode of Come Fly with Me was the top-selling episode on iTunes in 2011. The top ten also featured BBC Worldwide’s Outnumbered – Christmas Special, Doctor Who – End of Time Part 2, Top Gear – Bolivia Special and Sherlock – A Study in Pink.
