Title: Suggested Cuts
Post by Amigo on Mar 13th, 2011, 2:23pm

Perhaps the BBC should close "BBC Parliament" rather than Local Radio. Its frequencies could then be donated to pay for the more popular Local Radio.

Coverage of the UK Political Party Conferences should be reduced to one reporter and a single camera. If the political parties wish coverage, perhaps THEY should pay for it.

Just think of the savings. I'd rather watch a repeat of "Diagnosis Murder" than the coverage of conferences.

If SKY News (plc) wants the coverage, let them pay for it.

Anyone else any thoughts?

Good idea and as an added bonus get rid of BBC 3 and 4. If the BBC is to suffer a freeze and squeeze just stick with BBC1 and 2!
