The PDF is a fair representation of the printed version. I too wondered why the Letters Page appear diminished, perhaps it's an editorial decision.

To confirm - there are only 2 letters in the printed version - maybe because of the bank holiday, maybe because of a change of editor, or perhaps we wrote too long an obit for Ron!

Seriously, though, it's good that Ariel printed the obit. I've been aware, in recent years, that Ariel seems to have ignored the demise of well-known staff who have been retired for more than a couple of years. Joan Marsden and Stewart Morris, for example. Perhaps it's simply that no-one submitted one for them.
