He was well known for doing many Dr. Who series, The Duchess of Duke Street, and a lot of single dramas. He was the original organiser of the BBC Staff Dance at the Hammersmith Palais and a founder member of the Inland Waterways Section of the Club. His Funeral is at 12:30 on Monday 9th. Don joined BBC TV News as TV News Producer. He is remembered for his active part in the strike of June 1989 when both the NUJ and ABS staff members stood outside the gates of TV Centre. He was a Director of the BBC Pension Trust Ltd, 1991 -1996. He went on to be the BBC Lobby correspondent and the Labour party Press Officer. He wrote speeches for Jeremy Corbyn and articles for "The Week" magazine. He had a stroke and about 2 years ago he was admitted to a nursing home where he died. No funeral details announced.
